The Medical Specialty Center provides a variety of physical examinations, health screenings, and preventive services for students, employees, and surgical patients. Our experienced healthcare team offers convenient, comprehensive evaluations to help individuals stay healthy and prepared for school activities, employment, and medical procedures.
Sports Physicals
The Medical Specialty Center proudly offers free sports physicals for students in the communities we serve.
Most school athletic programs require a pre-participation physical examination before a student can participate in sports. These evaluations help identify any health concerns that could affect athletic performance or participation and ensure athletes are ready for a safe and successful season.
Sports physicals are typically recommended at least six weeks before the start of a sports season, allowing time to address any existing injuries or medical concerns.
Sports Physicals May Include:
- Review of medical history
- Assessment of overall health and fitness
- Evaluation of previous injuries
- Musculoskeletal examination
- Cardiovascular screening
- Discussion of sports-related health concerns
