The Orchard Hospital Laboratory provides services to Gridley, Biggs, and the surrounding communities. The Laboratory offers full service for inpatient, outpatient, and physician office referrals. No appointment is necessary, with the exception of glucose tolerance testing. If you are required to "Fast” for a test such as a Lipid Panel, then do not eat or drink anything except water for 12 hours prior to your lab test. Take medications as directed by your physician. Orchard Hospital has 2 locations available for specimen collection.

Orchard Hospital bills insurances and is contracted with most insurances. For the uninsured/cash pay patient, a discount can be requested. Payment plans are available. Contact Patient Financial Services at (530) 846-9011.

Diagnostic testing is done daily, with results available to the physician by mail or fax. Most routine testing is done within the same day of service, and "STAT” testing is available by request. The Laboratory is associated with QUEST for specialty testing. Orchard Hospital is contracted with Pathology Sciences Medical Group for Histology, Cytology, and Anatomical Pathology.
